On October 26, the Storydata team delivered the second data visualization training for EuroMeSCo , the main network of research centers and think tanks in the Euro-Mediterranean area, co-financed by the European Union and the IEMed .

The workshop, called “Data Visualization and Infographics for Research Communication: Tools for Sharing Knowledge ”, focused on the basics of data visualization for social and political research work, as well as the conceptualization and process of creating a research-based infographic. Participants became aware of the importance of data visualization to create impact and engagement of their work to a non-specialized audience.

Laura Navarro was in charge of familiarizing about twenty professionals with data visualization and the main ways to do it. The training also showed different types of maps and infographics and proposed an individual exercise in which the participants had to create a visualization or infographic with Piktochart.

Eli Vivas also accompanied the workshop and guided the participants in creating an infographic based on their research.
